Plot:
Paul Redelow loses his mother in an accident. It was only then that his father Achim Ziergel found out about his son’s existence. Because the marriage to his wife Christine has long suffered from the couple’s unfulfilled desire to have children, the Ziergels decide to take Paul in. With all good will, however, Christine lacks understanding of the stepson who suddenly appeared. She is overwhelmed with the upbringing of the child and is reacting increasinglyirritated. Soon your hand will slip for the first time. The situation worsens when Christine suddenly becomes pregnant. Her whole love is only for her own baby. The spatial confinement in the small apartment and the ongoing dispute over Paul, who can never please his stepmother, also drain on his father’s nerves. He starts beating the boy and drowns his helplessness in alcohol. A hopeless vicious circle … among other things
