Storyline:

Leone, 16 years old and two dads, Simone and Paolo, was born in California thanks to Tilly, an American woman who helped his parents to bring him into the world. Leone then grew up in Italy like all the other children but he also experienced the struggles for rights in which his family participated. All this is told in a short video that Leone is preparing as a school assignment together with Jacopo, his best friend. Just as, dodging prejudices and misunderstandings about his sexuality, Leone is about to experience his first love story, the solidity of his family seems to be in danger. Living a complex family situation will push Leo to reflect on the true nature of the “invisible thread” that binds him to his fathers and to all those who wanted his birth.

Storyline:

The film is based on the eponymous book, written by two former street gangsters – Grigori Belykh and Leonid Panteleyev. Film is set in the 1920s St. Petersburg, Russia. Streets of the city are full of the homeless boys. They are caught to be raised and educated at the correction school named after Dostoevsky. The boys are street smart and difficult. But the faculty stands up to the challenge. The teaches are being devoted and caring, and gradually win the respect of the most difficult kids. The school director (Yursky) is a refined intellectual, who becomes a role model for the boys.

Storyline:

In a small town in Australia, five children riding their horses from school take a forbidden path and meet two strangers, who give them money and make them promise not to tell anyone about them. The two men learn about Lucy. She’s a mare belonging to Mr. Thompson, a sheep farmer and the father of three of the children: Helen (the oldest), John, and six-year-old Snow (so named for the color of his hair). The other two are Michael, an English boy staying with the Thompsons, and Neza, an Australian black who is the son of one of Mr. Thompson’s stock men. The two men (a third one joins them later) prove to be horse thieves, and when Lucy and her foal turn up missing the next morning, the children know it must have been them. Later, the children tell Mrs. Thompson they’re going camping. But their real plan is to find the thieves and get Lucy and the foal back.
