Storyline:

David and Layla, two teenagers who really like “Hombres G” and they like each other too, but everything he does to win her over ends badly. Thirty years later they meet again and realize that the feelings have not completely disappeared.

User review:

The film alternates two time lines, sometimes merged, mixing songs, love affairs, dances, youthful gang antics, sentimental touches and family humor.

The bulk of the film, and its best moments, is in the initiatory adventures of the kids.

It uses reunion keys, personal reorientation and eighties nostalgia with memories of first love, flirting strategies and intimate group confessions. As a romantic story it is predictable, with characters with little background and episodic situations in a school context, highlighting the spark of Rodrigo Gibaja.

In adult meetings it is too simple, clinching friendship as the axis of actions with a bittersweet approach.

In period nostalgia it falls short (few references beyond the musical core) and in the musical section, with street dances full of people in children’s time, it exhibits simple but valid choreographies.
