A dramatic episode on two (very masculine) homosexual characters (we will not tell you more) is shown subtly, with respect, and tells us a lot about the LGBTQ situation in high school students. On this point, nothing seems to have really changed, or at most, little or not at all. First feature film by Quebecer Tristan Dubois, of Swiss origin, The fall of Sparta has an old-fashioned charm that delights the heart and lifts the spirit. In short, for these young people, aphorism is for everyone to follow their own path and, above all, not to give in to obstacles on terrain that is too often slippery. Surprisingly successful.
