Storyline:
Innocence gives way to experience. Two girls and two boys, probably about 14 or 15 years old, play a game of truth or dare. The questions and the challenges deal with sex; it’s innocent and harmless, but at each turn, each youth tries to raise the ante. Then, Paul gives a dare to Rose, and the result brings on a sudden and complete silence.
After years in hiding and struggling to control his demons, an eccentric drifter returns home and discovers that his childhood abuser, the center of his pain, is still alive. Armed with this knowledge, the drifter plots his revenge, all the while navigating the perilous land of masculine fragility in modern-day America.

Storyline:
At a track near Rome, shoeshine boys are watching horses run. Two of the boys, the orphan Pasquale and his younger friend Giuseppe, are riding. The pair have been saving to buy a horse of their own to ride. The boys meet Attilio, Giuse’s much older brother, and his shady friend at a boat on the Tiber. In return for a commission, the boys agree to deliver black market goods to a fortune-teller. Once the woman has paid, Attilio’s gang suddenly arrives, pretending to be cops, to shake the woman down. With a payoff from Attilio, the boys are able to make the final payment and stable their horse in Trastevere over the river. The fortune-teller identifies Pasqua and Giuse. Held at an overcrowded boys’ prison, they are separated. Giuse falls under the influence of an older lad in his cell, Arcangeli. During interrogation, Pasqua is tricked into betraying Giuse’s brother to the police. With their trial still in the future, the two friends are driven further apart.

Storyline:
In April 2, 2008, Jon is a 32 years old mathematician who witnesses as his best friend David is shot in a gas station outside Madrid. In April 2, 2018, Nico is a 10 years old boy who suffers bullying from a school partners, who forces him to enter in the same gas station to buy a magazine for adults. Saved in the last minute by his mother Lucía of the bullies after she arrives looking for her son, Nico buys a video-game magazine, finding in it a note about that if he goes to the gas station on April 12 he will die. Meanwhile fear and paranoia starts to dominate Nico, Jon notices about a previous shot happened in 1976, where the chauffeur of a general too was shot to dead in the same gas station. Deeping in the past of the place, Jon finds similar tragedies in 1955 and 1913 and he tries use his talent for the mathematics to find a pattern in the incidents, causing the rejection of Andrea, David’s girlfriend and Jon’s former girlfriend. According April 12 closes, Lucía struggles to erase the progressive fear of Nico to be killed, and Jon struggles against his each more unbalanced mind after to leave the treatment for the schizophrenia he suffers. Trying to confirm his discoveries to Andrea after to find the relation that connects all events, Jon starts a race against time thinking that it will repeats again in 2018, looking for a way to prevent it. But is it real, or only a trick of his fragile mind? Will can Jon break the circle before it be too late?

And he enlists the assistance of an elusive community organizer, a mischievously alert neighborhood kid and, of course, Ida – against the resistance of his parents, his classmates, and pretty much everyone else in town, including Ida’s giant boyfriend; the Captain of the Vikings football team. It’s a bit of a bumpy path for all, but there’s a decent message or two along the way as Thorvald and Ida become close.
