Storyline:
The petite waitress Johnny works and lives in a truck-stop, where she’s lonely and longs for love. She develops a crush on the garbage truck driver Krassky, although her sleazy boss Boris warns her that he’s gay. Maybe because of her boyish looks, Krassky likes her too. Both don’t notice the growing jealousy of Krassky’s boyfriend Padovan – until an escalation.

Storyline:
Matthew is a boy who just left school. He is handsome and athletic and believes himself to be gay. He retains a friendship with only one school friend, Phil, who has stuck by Matthew despite hostile reactions from his peers. As their relationship grows more intense, Phil’s girlfriend Sharon and his classmates become vindictive and aggressive. The two friends find themselves ostracized by both friends and family and decide to run away.

Storyline:
Rather undiplomatic British diplomat Harrington Brande (Sir Michael Hordern) takes up his new post in Spain accompanied by his son Nicholas (Jon Whiteley). The posting is something of a disappointment to Harrington, who was hoping for a promotion. That his wife had left him seems to have affected his career. Nicholas sees it all as something of an adventure, and soon becomes fast friends with the new gardener, José (Sir Dirk Bogarde). The apparently “delicate” Nicholas becomes attached to José, and Harrington’s jealousy leads him to bar Nicholas from even speaking to José. As tensions mount, another servant frames José for theft, forcing everyone to review the situation.

Storyline:
In 1976, Fred Schepisi’s first feature film, The Devil’s Playground, daringly dealt with the conflict between desire and spirituality in a Catholic seminary. It’s now considered a classic of Australian cinema. At the film’s centre was a 13-year-old boy, Tom Allen, torn between his calling and his sexuality. This series picks up the story 35 years later. It is 1988 and Tom is now in his forties. A practising Catholic and respected Sydney psychiatrist, Tom accepts an offer from the Bishop of Sydney to become a secular confessor to the Catholic clergy, and is soon embroiled in political and theological intrigue.

Storyline:
Two male graffiti artists are partners in their work, but they are also having a sexual relationship with each other which they haven’t disclosed to others. In the midst of planning a big job with some of their graffiti artist colleagues, that work to be painted on the side of a commuter train car, the two are having problems with each other based on what seems to be different things that they want from their personal relationship. The first man is more animalistic in that he wants their relationship to be purely sexual, whereas the second man has more romantic thoughts on his mind. Added to their obstacles is one of their females colleagues who seems to be attracted to the first man, who does not dissuade her. While each evaluates their relationship, one may come to the realization that what they want may be more similar than they had originally envisioned, but has to convince the other for their relationship to survive.
