I really liked this short film by Rony Tanios and recommend it. It’s a lot like that old tale of The Emperor’s New Clothes but with a modern twist and an unpopular high-schooler in place of the emperor. You’ve already read the preface so you know the plot. Is it because the excitement of the eclipse is so exciting, Julian’s fellow classmates and teachers don’t have anything else on their mind? Or, could it be a poke at today’s society where we’re all so self-absorbed, especially with what’s on our smart phones, and not in touch with what’s going on around us? The actor who plays Julian (Alexis Nativel) is great and deserves a big bravo for being so comfortable and confident in his birthday suit surrounded by hundreds of clothed others. You almost feel sorry for his character towards the end where he has to put on those over-sized clothes that don’t fit him. Thank you webmaster for sharing this little gem of a short film with us.
