Homevideo 2011
1h 29min | Drama | TV Movie 19 August 2011
Storyline:
Shy, sensitive gymnasium (high school)-outsider Jakob Moormann is miserably lacking immaterial support at home, where his strict father, uniformed cop Claas, and selfish mother are too busy breaking up to be there for him. Jakob focuses on class dream-girl Hannah, without much luck. His secret recording of himself masturbating gets into class bullies Henry and Erik’s hands through the mother’s thoughtlessness. The rascals blackmail Jakob and post the video on Internet. After a raging lecture phase, dad stands up for Jakob, but his life is already wrecked more than anyone realizes.
User review:
The intensity of this movie is extreme. You will never watch a movie about mobbing that captures the feeling as well as this movie. The dependency on opinions of others and all the other things teenagers go through is shown in a way that puts you back to your teens even if you had no experience with mobbing. There is no playing around. The director acts like a surgeon in destroying the world of the lead character. It is like a trip and there is no stopping . One of the best German films i ever watched. i can only recommend it with all my heart and i am sure that you will be surprised what kind of pearls you can still find Like i was when i found this movie. And the soundtrack is beautiful as well. Starts of like the melody for a childhood and then goes faster and more disturbing as the movie goes on Just brilliant

Excellent and disturbing movie.
Should be seen by adolescents the world over.
Interesting that it was done in 2011 when the problems it highlights have only recently hit Australian schools
