Storyline:

Storyline:
On the death of their father, Tesla and her brother Nik find themselves, due to a singular succession agreement, having to live together for a year under the same roof, even though they have not seen each other for more than twenty years. Tesla’s children also live in the house: Sebastiano, a very talented cellist, suffering from highly functioning schizophrenia, to whom the woman has dedicated her life and an obsessive and suffocating protection, and Carolina with whom she has a difficult and conflicting relationship. The difficult coexistence will trigger clashes and continuous quarrels between Nik and Tesla, two siblings at the antipodes, and the unexpected birth of a strong bond between Nik and his nephew Sebastiano. Over time everyone will gradually find a balance, until a series of events lead the characters to have to deal with their fears and secrets, in a difficult journey towards forgiveness and acceptance of themselves and their emotional and family ties.

Storyline:
The film begins when Eugenio, a 14 year old child, is conduced from his grandparents home outside Rome, to Giancarlo (his father) in the city, by Giancarlo’s friend (called “Moustache”). As Eugenio is bothering Moustache, he threatens Eugenio with leaving him in the middle of the country. He finally does it. When Giancarlo finds out, they return for Eugenio, but he is now lost. Meanwhile we’re told the story of the child and his relation with the family, and why he feels unwanted.

Storyline:
WW2, December 1942, four children on the run. Sarah and Daniel are Jews about to be deported, but hide in the cellar of Otto and Gerda, until they are discovered and their parents are arrested. They have to get to faraway neutral Sweden.
Eric and Elin meet as adults and reminisce about the summer when they met for the first time. Their parents Linda and Peter were both stuck in heavy drug abuse but for a couple of months they all lived together as a family. The parents struggle with their addiction and the children in their turn struggle not to get sucked into this dirty and violent world. This turbulent time together still defines who they are and what they became: Parents who in spite of addiction try to bond with and find love for their children and those children’s struggle to live and to survive. As the new family is torn apart Linda and Peter are forced into making the most horrible of decisions – turning away a child.
