Storyline:
Rare Norwegian television movie about how difficult it is to reconcile with destiny: the parents brought the boy to the sanatorium. He does not like to be among patients, because he just got sick neck, what brought him here? He decides to build a raft and escape, because he is not among these patients. What came out of this idea? What if suddenly comes the understanding that you’re one of them?

Not complaining, of course — but it amazes me how casual the Euro countries are about teen nudity, especially at such a formative pubescent age. That sweet boy had to be frontal/casually naked for the cameras and crew for most of a day for that swimming scene. I cannot imagine being so comfortable with that at 13!
Don’t forget the great tradition of nudism in Northern Europe including Noth/East Germany. There are a lot of nice boyhood movies coming from the bygone GDR. Filming will not have caused too many problems for the boys…
But well, noone dares to make such scenes nowadays – thanls to the worldwide prudity coming from the great USA!!
“Prudes” existed in every civilization and still do today. Nudists are one thing, and they exist in the USA too. It’s not because of the USA, which saved Europe twice in the 20th century. And nudist lifestyle was present before and after that time. It’s mostly due to the underground porn industry that exploits children in media. So tried of this USA bashing, and some people (you) assigning blame for any such censorship.
And not to mention being washed then toweled down by two attractive actresses in nurse outfits and then still having to remain naked for the rest of the scene which ends with one of the women’s faces inches from your crotch!! That takes serious self-control that I didn’t have at his age for sure.
I like it, I hope to see more movies like this. Boys in hospital or in school leaving together and have a lot of naked scenes
