PRORA 2012
23min | Short, Drama, Romance | 25 March 2012 (UK)

Storyline:

Prora, on the Baltic Sea. Mysterious, endless. In this deserted former Nazi holiday camp and communist military complex, teenagers Jan and Matthieu embark on an adventure that puts their friendship at risk.

User review:

I saw this as part of a collection of short films at last month’s London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival … and this was the film that stayed with me most.

The location is absolutely stunning, and the film makes the most of it with truly haunting images – and it is these that linger in the mind long after the film finishes …

The storyline is somewhat derivative, but the character of Jan is well formed, and you can really feel his emotions.

The ending is one of those which leaves it up to you to decide – which I like, as I imagine the different possibilities … but if you’re the sort of person who wants everything to be nicely sewn up, prepare to be disappointed!

  1. Evan says:

Matthieu is a dick, he sucked Jan’s tinkle and then cut it!!!
No more of Jan’s tinkle for him!!!

  2. Evan says:

Jan should have gone in the water with his shorts off so his tinkle could get wet!!!

The file has been removed due to inactivity. I was able to find it on AsianGMovies website. Great short. To those thinking Jan doesn’t finish off Matthieu, he absolutely does. They just don’t show it but you can hear it and when the camera cuts back its to Matthieu zipping up.
I love the acting in this movie. Those are expressions that require a great deal of experience to pull off and I’m probably going to download the “making of” for more on that.
