A greater part of this documentary was made at the “Körperkulturschule Adolf Koch” (Adolf Koch’s Naturism School) near Berlin, Germany. The members there were very keen on integrating their kids in all the nude outdoor activities. The scenes there were filmed in the summer of 1932, only a few month before the Nazis came to reign, who stopped (not only) these activities very soon…
Thank you for this important slice of history, Franz-Josef. If only…..if only….the Nazi’s had included naturism in their ideology, the outcome of the Third Reich may have been far different.
Then, looking ahead (more wishful thinking!) imagine if my country, the USA, chose to promote naturism as part of a healthy culture…
You have to wonder about stuff like this, and pre-code Hollywood films that featured naked kids (usually little girls) like this one, CHILD BRIDE (1938 – about 29:00 if you care) There’s no pretense about the intended sexuality of it.

I mean – “art” — okay if you say so…
This was very interesting as far as having a lot of old film footage of things happening in the early 1900s. I suppose that to pass restrictions, that they had to avoid showing full-frontal nudity, which really lowers it’s value. It also seemed that their definition of nudity seemed off-kelter. People wearing clothes are NOT nude! There was only one very short scene where a woman was shown entirely nude in a full-frontal view. Like I said, I did enjoy the historical scenes and commentary, but feel like it fell short on really telling about nudist, particularly when it visited camps where people wore clothes!
