User review:

Ashtonishingly bad. The first movie even seems fine conpared to this one. I knew right away it would be a long two hours when the movie was introdused with the villain bitterly talking to himself. The plot us unsalvageable and gets worse by the minute. Dont even get me started on the acting: terrible. Especially mrs. Claus, and the two kids are just annoying. Dont watch it, unless you drink everytime you see bad acting. Then it might be watchable, but you wont be able to remember it the next day, which is probably for the best. Lastly the random music act: just no.

If it’s a Chris Columbus movie (Home Alone, Harry Potter..etc), it has to be good; I liked the first movie,
it was fun and different; it’s usually hard to do a sequel
but with the great Kurt Russel (real beard) and Academy Award Winner and lovely Goldie Hawn, add the return of Darby Camp (little girl or teenager now), this second chapter is very interesting, moving, funny, great CGI and animatronics, quite a few new twists for this contemporary Santa Claus, they even added a mystical touch to it by explaining that Santa was inspired by a real Middle Ages priest (St-Nickolas) who brought food and toys to poor families, an interesting idea to insert the Star of Betlehem as the source of the Christmas tree light, no doubt a myth but quite interesting) and I was glad Judah Lewis had more than just a cameo appearance, I think he’s great (Demolition, The Babysitter 2017, Summer of ’84), lots of action, songs, colorful and for once, a really beautiful Christmas village, and Ms Claus to round things off; I think it’s a great movie and for once , the critics do too; worth watching; the boy is impressive in his role as the son of the man who is dating her mother; I recommend it!

Thanks for the critique. You have sold me on this movie. Saw the first one two with Kurt Russell. I think I will enjoy the second one if it is as good as you describe it 🙂. Thanks
