Youth, sexuality, and the French countryside — one of the more unique films you’re ever going to see. If you can see it that is, no mean feat considering how hard it is to find copies of it (a combination of scarcity and censorship.) It’s sometimes erotic, sometimes disgusting, and occasionally funny. A trifle boring also in the middle, but all in all you can’t call yourself an aficionado of bizarre film until you’ve seen this one at least once.

It was lame. Didn’t really make sense. How does one diein his sleep from ‘drinking too much’? I hope this was with it to whoever shelled out the money to have such a movie made. Also, the beast… How did the beast even die? If the first time he attacked the duchess she basically have him a foot job, then kept coming back to get off on him getting off, is it really rape? So many things wrong with the movie. I honestly will never get that time back in my life.
