Jumping Ship 2001
1h 33m | Adventure, Comedy, Drama, Family | Release date: August 17, 2001 (United States)
Storyline:
Michael has big plans to show his cousin Tommy a good time aboard a luxury yacht–until he discovers that the one he chartered is actually an old rusted fishing boat. But they are forced to jump ship when modern-day pirates chase it, leaving them stranded on a desert island with the captain, Jake Hunter.
User review:
Jumping Ship was a cute movie, some of the action might be a little intense for some of the target audience (7-10 year old’s), but it should be on the money for 11 and 12 year old’s. Andrew Lawrence has grown some, well he should’ve, he is human. But the fact that the triplets are working together on a show is refreshing. But one thing I found a bit comical was the fact that the name Jake Hunter (Played by Matthew Lawrence) is almost the exact same as one of his previous characters, Jack Hunter, on the TV series ‘Boy Meets World’. But again, on the movie, the plot is alright, the characters are alright, but the fact that a crocodile was in the ocean seemed a bit, well, odd. But I’m not an animal expert so I wouldn’t know.
