User review:
We think the film itself has a too easy and not deep story . We want to get a lot more information to actually get a feel for the characters. It’s falling too raw on our roof right now. Open (movie) doors are also kicked in, or not at all, making it too safehappens. They try to tell an original and raw story, but they try too hard. The makers try to grab you by the throat, but that is almost impossible. The story touches us too little for that.
Are there no positive things to mention? Certainly. Cinematographically a very beautiful film and where the film does not feel raw, it looks that way. The composition was also nicely chosen, with the shots at home in particular showing how small Timo’s world is. Well framed anyway. Finally, the movie poster , because take a good look at the title of the movie. Smart thinking!
Gold leaves us with an unsatisfactory feeling . It seems that the makers are trying too hard to come across as original and raw, where we believe that too many open (film) doors are being kicked in. Cinematographically beautiful!
